The first teaser at Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events has been released and finds Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) walking through the set and warning viewers not to watch the show. He says that normally the set is bustling with activity, but the cast and crew are indisposed with a case of “melancholia, ennui, and acute wistfulness.” He is then interrupted by Count Olaf (I believe) who is singing joyfully. Snicket then adds that almost everyone is indisposed. Once again, he warns viewers to avoid the story of the Baudelaire orphans.

Ever since it was announced that Netflix was going to do an adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, I have waited and waited for the first look at what I believe is going to be a faithful retelling of the children’s series. I grew up reading these books and can’t wait for the series to land on Netflix on Friday, January 13, 2017.
