Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan Team Up for HBO Film
Two of our favorite actors, Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), are teaming up to co-star in the HBO film My Dinner with Hervé.
The film will tell the story of an unlikely friendship which evolves over one wild night in LA between a struggling journalist, Danny Tate (Dornan), and actor Hervé Villechaize (Dinklage), the world’s most famous gun-toting dwarf, resulting in life-changing consequences for both.
Villechaize, who will be played by Peter Dinklage, is best known for his roles as Mr. Roarke’s assistant, Tattoo, in the TV series Fantasy Island and as the henchman Nick Nack in the 1974 James Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun. The film will be based on a story by Sacha Gervasi and Sean Macaulay with Gervasi also serving as director on the film. Gervasi actually had conducted the last interview with Villechaize shortly before the actor commited suicide in 1993.
Gervasi will also executive produce along with Steven Zaillian, Richard Middleton, Ross Katz and Jessica de Rothschild. Garrett Basch and David Ginsberg will serve as co-executive producers with Peter Dinklage is also attached as an executive producer.
The news comes as the popular HBO series Game of Thrones begins to prepare for its final shortened seasons and just a week or so after an announcement was made regarding four possible spin-offs being in development related to the series.
