Michelle Williams in Talks to Join ‘Venom’
Michelle Williams may be the next big addition to the Marvel Universe!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar nominated actress is in talks to star opposite Tom Hardy in Sony Pictures Venom, however, no details on what character she may portray have been given at this time.
The film centers on Edward “Eddie” Brock, the human host to Venom – an alien symbiote who was first introduced on-screen in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, played by Topher Grace.
Also listed on the call sheet for the film is Star Wars and Emmy winning actor Riz Ahmed, but like Williams, no other details have been released.
Williams got her big break playing Jen Lindley on The WB’s Dawson’s Creek before going on to star in such films as Brokeback Mountain, Shutter Island, My Week with Marilyn, and most recently Manchester by the Sea. She will next be seen in Wonderstruck – which will be released next month – and The Greatest Showman – coming to theaters in December.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom is set to hit theaters on Oct 5th, 2018.
