Is Stephen the King of Hulu’s ‘Castle Rock’?

Stephen King certainly led the way when it came to screen adaptations for his beloved tales this past year. The Dark Tower, The Mist, Mr. Mercedes, Gerald’s Game and It were just a few titles brought to cinematic life in 2017, and things do not seem to be slowing down. Not meant to be an exact adaptation yet, named after an iconic town within the Stephen King Universe, Castle Rock is due to be released on Hulu this year. While the Castle Rock teaser trailer shows references to King classics The ShiningITMisery, and The Shawshank Redemption the author himself actually claims no involvement.

“I’m as much in the dark as anybody else. I don’t know anything about it so I just hope it turns out really well. It must be going okay. It’s typical J.J. [Abrams] There’s been nothing that I’ve seen in the press, or anything, about it.” Source: Stephen King – Entertainment Weekly
