Throwback Thursday: ‘Batman Forever’
Greetings my fellow nerds! Today we are celebrating yet another Throwback Thursday!
I found myself scrolling through Netflix the other night (like I do pretty much every single night) and what do I find has come to Netflix? Batman Forever. It was probably one of the first Batman films that inspired me to start cosplaying. Also, we got to see Jim Carrey in a rather hilarious role as a villain… the Riddler!
Batman Forever was released in 1995 and was directed by Joel Schumacher and produced by Tim Burton. It is the third film in the original Batman film series, starring Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne. The film also stars Chris O’Donnell, Nicole Kidman, Tommy Lee Jones, and Jim Carrey.
The movie focuses on Batman trying to stop Two-Face and the Riddler in their villainous scheme to steal confidential information from all the minds in Gotham City and use it to learn Batman’s identity and take control of the city. There he finds and enlists the help of Dick Grayson, who becomes his sidekick – Robin.
