Tom Holland Rumored to Appear in ‘Venom’

More exciting news coming from the cinematic world, Marvel fans!

Although first reported that the upcoming Venom film and all other future Marvel projects in the works by Sony Pictures existed in a separate universe from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that may not be the case anymore as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man may appear in Venom!

Seemingly confirming the rumor was producer Jon Schnepp who said, “Spider-Man is going to be in Venom. For the last couple of months, we’ve been hearing how Sony is keeping it all separated, and Spider-Man is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but every other character that’s in the Spider-Man universe is separate. All I’m saying is that Spider-Man – and I’m talking about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man – is going to be in Venom.”

Of course, as Collider pointed out, having Tom Holland appear in the Venom film could make a mess within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox – who owns the rights to Deadpool, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, Holland’s likely appearance in Venom doesn’t sound farfetched.

Venom – starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, and Woody Harrelson – is set to open on October 5th.
