The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan Books Lead Role in ABC Pilot
Lauren Cohan is officially contracted, but this time, it’s not to The Walking Dead. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Tuesday that Cohan is officially signed on to star in the brand new ABC pilot for drama Whiskey Cavalier.
Allegedly, Cohan had been looking at other opportunities in the midst of a several month long contract renewal negotiation that was not yielding an agreement. So as of right now, there is no plan for her to return to The Walking Dead.
AMC did not comment, and she could possibly still sign on for season 9 of Walking Dead if the Whiskey Cavalier pilot does not get signed for series. If it does, there is a possibility she could work on both shows, if scheduling allows.
It is described as an FBI dramedy which revolves around Scandal‘s Scott Foley as Will Chase. He is assigned to work with the fiery, fearless and quickwitted Frankie Trowbridge (Lauren Cohan). They work together to lead their team of spirited and funny agents while saving the world.
The Warner Bros. pilot was written by Dave Hemingson.
