7 Cant Miss Acts at This Year’s Hangout Music Festival

What do you get when you combine the sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, an incredible musical line-up, and experiences that last a lifetime? You get Hangout Music Festival and it’s happening sooner than you think. On May 19-21st festival goers will join together in the sunny southern state for some memory-making alongside some of the biggest names in music.

While every single artist scheduled to attend is incredible, there are some acts you just can’t miss. When we looked at the line-up, we almost couldn’t believe it. There are names like Chance the Rapper, Andrew McMahon, Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean, PVRIS, and Lukas Graham; and that’s just the beginning. So many genres will be represented during the days and nights of Hangout Music Festival and it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

Here are 7 artists you have to see during the weekend of the festival, trust us.

7. Joseph
We saw Joseph when they opened up for James Bay in Nashville and they were incredible. We downloaded their music after the show and listened to it on the way home. They’re super talented, their voices sound beautiful together and they put on a hell of a live show.

6. Weezer
Well, it’s Weezer, so that’s reason enough in itself. You can’t pass up an opportunity to see them play live. They also have a song out ‘Feels Like Summer’ so, it’s the ultimate festival jam. They’ve got a new album coming out…this summer…so you may even hear some new tunes!

5. Mumford & Sons
Again, they’re a give in – you have to see Mumford & Sons when they come to town. Or when they headline a massive beach music festival. Their sound is unique, their songs are incredible, and they sound just as good live as they do recorded. They’ll be an awesome addition to Hangout Festival this summer.

4. Frank Ocean
We’ll be honest, he’s the name that drew us to the festival this year. We love Hangout Festival, but knowing Frank Ocean is attending this May gave us hopes for a unique experience. We’ve yet to see him perform lie but we know it will be awesome. Plus, we’re still not over Channel Orange.

3. Twenty One Pilots
Seeing Twenty One Pilots at a show of their own is incredible, seeing them at a music festival has to be even more than words can describe. The duo, hailing from Ohio, bring their songs to life with passion and a lot of heart. They’re not just an inspiration to their fans in terms of music, they motivate their fanbase and tell them that life is worth living.

2. Andrew Mcmahon
If you’ve not seen Andrew live yet, you’re missing out. He puts on a show with passion, love for music, and appreciation for everything he has. He’s been at the lowest points of his life and also the highest during his time as a musician and he’s overcome obstacles that most people can’t experience. All of that has shaped who he is as an artist and his shows are experiences all their own.

1. Chance the Rapper
Chance the Rapper is just one of our personal favorites and we still haven’t been lucky enough to see him live either. When you think of a music festival, you want talented, upbeat, and involved performers; and that’s what Chance embodies. He treats his music as his passion and you can tell that he truly feels blessed to get to do what he loves.

Who are you most looking forward to seeing at Hangout Music Fest? Let us know.
