Andrew Lincoln’s ‘Walking Dead’ Exit Episode Gets Ratings Boost
Last week, the show saw a rating of 2.0 and 5.1 million live viewers. It also saw a little bump with viewers aged 25-54. 3.1 million watched with a rating of 2.6.
Although they are still on the low side of the show’s 9 season history overall, these rating are the best since the season premiered on October 7th.
Talking Dead, the after show hosted by Chris Hardwick, saw an even bigger boost. The show, which featured Melissa McBride (Carol), Creative Chief Scott Gimple and an interview from Andrew Lincoln, saw its ratings in the 18-49 demographic jump 66 percent to 2.7 million viewers. The previous episode saw 1.82 million.
The episode was the home of breaking news as well, which most likely accounted for the spike. Gimple announced on the after show that AMC is in the process of making a Walking Dead film trilogy.
The ratings AMC uses are a combination of live and 3 day views.
