Anthony Mackie is Rooting for Falcon’s Red and White Suit to hit the Big Screen

At a convention in Arizona this weekend, lucky fans saw some of Marvel’s finest in photo ops and autograph lines. Sharing stories, taking photos, and thanking the actors for what they bring to the lives of their fans, both on and off the set.

Another part of conventions that stand out is the chance to hear the stars of pop culture’s finest talk about what makes the projects so meaningful to them. Be it television, film, or the comic book realm – there’s always an incredible inspiration behind what we see as fans.

Anthony Mackie took the stage this weekend with Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans and talked about everything from playing Falcon to the intense scenes in Avengers: Infinity War. However, before we move onto that, we have to address Falcon’s suit in the MCU and how it differs from possibly his most iconic suit – in red and white.

It’s not something that goes unnoticed with Mackie, in fact, he’s been trying to change his suit for years.

I’m pushing for it, I’m pushing for it, I’ve been pushing for spandex for eight years, they won’t give it to me.’

While that suit hasn’t made its big screen debut, we think the change coming in the MCU makes it the perfect time to give Falcon that iconic look, and get Mackie that spandex!

Focusing on what’s in front of us, however, Mackie said that when we see the heroes on screen again, we’ll see them trying to just find solid ground.

Coming off such a huge battle that these characters are coming off of, everybody’s trying to find their footing again. Everybody’s trying to figure out where they are and how they’ll be accepted and looked upon, not only by the rest of the world but by the other heroes since we’ve been separated. So that’s kind the overall idea of where we’re coming from and how do we get out of that to save the world.

We’ll soon find out. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4th.
