‘Arrow’ Season 8 Premiere Date Announced

Arrow‘s 7th season finished with a perfect set up to the next big crossover as well as the potential events of Arrow’s final season which will be the shows shortest season with only 10 episodes.

The CW finally revealed when we will see the Green Arrow back in action.

Arrow‘s 8th and final season will premiere on the CW on the 15th October 2019. Of course, for the fans elsewhere a little bit of waiting may be required. Typically, UK audiences are usually 2 weeks behind (for no real reason) so I would expect Arrow to return to Sky One at the beginning of November, potentially the final week of October if we’re lucky.

Since it is the final season I would love it if each episode was released simultaneously for all audiences, that way everyone can enjoy it at the same time. Wishful thinking.

Apart from Oliver Queen’s apparent death in the next crossover, it’s hard to say what Season 8 will bring, especially since Emily Bett Rickards has said goodbye to Felicity. What is certain is that Crisis on Infinite Earths will be the CW’s most ambitious project that will span 5 whole hours across 2 quarters. What this means is that this crossover may act as a midseason finale for The Flash, for example, but a season finale for Arrow.

The other question to ask is how important the flash-forwards will be in Season 8. As of now, I can’t really see them baring any relevance, particularly since this will round off Oliver Queens arc, so I’d like to think that the 10 episodes will focus primarily on him, then again, how do you explain Felicity’s absence? So many questions, very few answers.
