‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell hosted first UK F*ck Cancer event in London

Stephen Amell is well-known for his performance as DC’s Oliver aka ‘The Green Arrow’ on the CW’s hit TV Series, Arrow. While Stephen and his career may be something that fans across the world may know, there is something about Stephen’s life that some people may not know. The man who plays Oliver Queen, a DC Comic Book Superhero, was raised by a superhero himself; his mother.

Sandra Amell, Stephen’s mother, is known as several things. Mother. Grandma. Wife. To us, she is known as ‘hero’. Sandra, is a cancer fighter and a cancer survivor.

On Friday, May 26th, Stephen Amell hosted a F*CK Cancer event at TAPE London in London, England to raise awareness for the fight against cancer. The event has held a day prior to Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, and was completely sold out. The event was an evening of dancing, socializing, drinks, cupcakes and Stephen himself even gave his own personal ‘F*ck Cancer’ Speech with his mom.

Several other celebrities also attended this event including Stephen’s cousin, Robbie Amell, Italia Ricci (Robbie’s Wife), Killia Marynska and CJ Franco.

It is truly amazing and inspiring to see these amazing celebrities that we hold near to us take part in such beautiful events and fundraisers. Stephen, you never cease to amaze us with your inspirational and motivating ways.

It is a 501(c)3 registered charity that provides prevention, early detection, and support to those affected by cancer.  Their vision is to bring communities together in order to raise funds, fight back against cancer and continue to prevent, detect and unite through international events, parties, and cultivations.
