Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Adds Discovery Tour and Story Creator Mode

Ubisoft announced during their E3 conference that they would be adding two new modes to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The first is Discovery Tour, which allows players to travel around all of ancient Greece and learn history. The second addition is Story Creator Mode. Using an online program, players can create their own series of quests and then play them. Both are available for free.

First introduced in Assassin’s Creed Origins, Discovery Tour is Assassin’s Creed without the killing. All of your parkour abilities are still intact, which made it fun to scale buildings in Origins while playing as Cleopatra. Choose from over 30 different avatars and explore ancient antiquity to your heart’s content. Discovery Mode will be available this fall.

Story Creator Mode uses the same algorithm used in the creation of Odyssey. Choose from a number of quest objectives, such as “Go to,” “Assassinate,” etc., then start building your story. The creator lets your write your own dialogue and offer branching storylines depending on the player’s choice. Once you’ve completed your story, you can share it with other players, or download it to your console and play. According to Ubisoft, “the only limit is your imagination.” Story Creator Mode is available now and can be found here.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is currently available on PS4, XBox One, and Windows PC.
