‘Avengers: Endgame’ Will Be Marvel’s Longest Movie

The runtime for Marvel’s most anticipated movie, Avengers: Endgame may have been revealed by AMC Theatres.

According to AMC, Endgame is 182 minutes long which works out at 3 hours and 2 minutes. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, audiences can expect a pretty lengthy film. Considering the result of Infinity War which saw the Mad Titan destroy life on a scale hitherto undreamt of, The Avengers have a lot on their plate and with the Quantum Realm possibly playing a key role in Endgame the film may have a lot of ground to cover in the past, present and possibly the future. You also have to consider that this film, as the Russos told Collider, is the culmination of 22 movies. Additionally, back in November, the Russos also revealed that half way through the editing process, Endgame was roughly at the 3 hour mark. Even if the apparent runtime is wrong, I can’t imagine it being far off 3 hours.

At 3 hours, Avengers: Endgame will become the longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, Avengers: Infinity War took that mantel with a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes, that’s a 33 minute difference.

Now, I’m sure I’m not alone in this but sitting through a long film can be difficult. I don’t have the strongest bladder in the world but considering the importance of this film, I want to try and help by giving you tips on lasting during a long film. Here are 7 tips that should help you enjoy the upcoming Avengers film without worrying about running to the toilet in a mad fury.

  1. Go before you enter the cinema.
  2. Go during the adverts.
  3. Go during the trailers.
  4. Get a seat near a door, that way you can sprint gracefully to the toilet.
  5. Don’t by a drink from the cinema
  6. Don’t buy salted popcorn. Salted snacks make you thirsty.
  7. Grab an aisle seat just in case. If you are desperate, you don’t have to worry about squeezing past people.

But, if you do have to go don’t force yourself to hold it in, it can be incredibly uncomfortable. If anything, going to the toilet actually gives you an excuse to watch it again.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in cinemas on April 26th
