Batwoman: Preview Of Upcoming Episode “Do Not Resuscitate”

Batwoman continues to draw us into its new season with a fun new Batwoman and some new villains, too. The sixth episode of the season will be called “Do Not Resuscitate” The show’s been impressive thus far and fans hope it can maintain its momentum. We’ve had several Joker hints, we’ve seen Victor Zsasz and Black Mask should be debuting soon. We have a new batsuit and the hunt for Kate Kane is on. It’s hard to believe that next week will already be the sixth episode of Batwoman‘s second season. Ahead of that the CW has gone and released a preview for the episode, which I’ll include below.

“IT ALL COMES BACK AROUND – As Ryan Wilder’s (Javicia Leslie) Kryptonite wound grows more severe, it hinders Batwoman’s ability to protect Gotham. Growing interest in reproducing the serum from the Desert Rose puts Mary’s (Nicole Kang) and Commander Kane’s (Dougray Scott) lives in danger. Meanwhile, Alice’s (Rachel Skarsten) reunion with a fellow Coryana inhabitant presents unexpected complications. Also starring Meagan Tandy and Camrus Johnson. Holly Dale directed the episode written by Caroline Dries and Daphne Miles.”

It seems as though the show will finally deal with Ryan’s injury from that first episode. The Kryptonite bullet she was shot with has been negatively impacting her health, and she can hardly afford the complications right now.

Leslie spoke about it in a virtual interview earlier in the year, saying: “It 100% is going to affect Ryan’s system. But you also have to remember, she’s a very strong and proud woman. Her entire focus right now is to prove that she can be Batwoman, so she’s not going to admit the fact that she’s going through something. And that’s really going to be a huge issue because she needs help, and she just won’t admit it. She doesn’t want to admit it, because she doesn’t want to feel like she’s less than. She’s been compared to Kate Kane so much, that she just wants to show that she’s strong and she deserves to be able to wear this suit and save the world.”

Are you excited about “Do Not Resuscitate”?

Batwoman airs every Sunday on the CW, and you can watch it for free every Monday on the CW’s digital platforms.
