‘Better Call Saul’ Producers and Giancarlo Esposito Have Discussed An Appearance from Gus
The great Giancarlo Esposito sat down at Walking Stalker Boston for a panel, where he talked lots of Breaking Bad. A fan asked if we would be seeing Gus on the next season of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff featuring the infamous, untraditional lawyer Saul played by Bob Odenkirk.
Esposito confirmed that the producers have called him to discuss Gus’s revival on the show several times. “We have been talking. We’ve been going back and forth back and forth.”
He added that the producers are trying to figure out how to incorporate Gus into the show, but so far nothing has been confirmed or come to fruition. “They have been trying to figure out a contract to offer me, but so far we don’t have an agreement.”
He said it would be cool to call the series of episodes “The rise of Gus”, and a fan concurred and added the hashtag #givegusthecontract.
