SDCC 2019: ‘Black Lightning’ Drops Season 3 Trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming third season of Black Lightning dropped on Saturday as part of the San Diego Comic-Con panel. Fans were excited to get a glimpse of what is to come as well as watch the panel talk that happened at the event.

The first two seasons saw retired superhero Black Lightning return to his former life and experience the baggage that comes with this kind of lifestyle.

Season Two Finale Recap

Season two finale revealed that Agent Odell knew Jefferson’s secret identity. We also find out that Markovia is preparing to invade Freeland and the prospect of war seems on the horizon. Armed with superpowered metahumans, we are given a glimpse into what might be coming in Season 3.

Season Two left us wondering what would happen in Season Three?

The finale of Season 2 seems to imply that Freeland will soon become a war zone so we will no doubt see the effects of this in Season 3.

The reveal that Jefferson’s secret identity wasn’t as protected as he thought hints at the idea that maybe Agent Odell finding out about his identity is a sign of what to come. Is it possible that Jefferson’s secret identity will be revealed to the world? Will this be done by the Markovians or Agent Odell?

How will the superpowered family join Jefferson in the fight? We’ve seen both Jennifer and Anissa grow into superheroes. Whilst one is much more advanced than the other, they both have key roles to play here. Who will be season 3’s big bad? Will Tobias be freed and take the reigns as a villain again, or are we looking at a brand new antagonist for Season 3.

We want to know will Black Lightning appear in The CW’s 2019 crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths? At the moment it is not part of the Arrowverse, but could that be about to change?
