Check out the newest – and most Terrifying – 47 Meters Down Trailer

If you’re afraid of sharks or the dark depths of the ocean 47 Meters Down is not the film for you. However, if the thought of an unexplored ocean and possibly becoming shark bait entices you, or if you’re a masochist who watches films knowing they’re going to terrify you, this film is right up your alley.

The first trailer for 47 Meters Down focused more on Claire Holt and Mandy Moore, how they found themselves caged swimming with sharks, and a bit of the horror they face once they’re in the ocean. The second trailer focuses heavily on that horror and features a lot of shark jaw clicking that may or may not haunt your dreams this evening.

‘I can’t believe you talked me into this.’
‘It’s going to be amazing.’

You know those moments where you think ‘I could be adventurous, I could to do that‘…yeah, after this trailer we won’t be having any of those moments when it comes to the ocean. Lisa (Mandy Moore) and Kate (Claire Holt) take on an amazing adventure as they ‘sort of’ swim with sharks. They’re in a cage, near enough to a boat where help should be only meters away. However, this is a movie so something has to go disastrously wrong – and it does.

The cord holding the cage snaps and the men on board try desperately to bring them back up to no avail. The cage sinks to the bottom of the ocean floor and suddenly amazing becomes terrifying and someone is likely becoming shark bait.

It looks like, at some point, they both try to make it out of the cage and to the top of the water but remember those jaw clicking sounds we mentioned? Yeah…those aren’t exactly a good sign. Both Kate and Lisa are screaming, saying that they’re afraid, and fighting for their lives.

We’re not sure about you, but after seeing Shallows, we think the only ‘beachin’ we’ll be doing is on a lounge chair, far away from water that touches more than our ankles.
