Chris Pratt to be Honored with the Generation Award at MTV Movie & TV Awards

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is about to get some well-deserved (and long overdue if you ask us) recognition during the upcoming MTV Movie & TV Awards next month. Pratt is set to be honored during the awards ceremony with the 2018 Generation Award. The Generation Award is a special honor of the night which is awarded for outstanding talent and noteworthy contributions to film and television.

Pratt’s most notable television roles include appearances on EverwoodThe O.C, and perhaps his best-known role (and, perhaps, his most lovable role) as Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation. The Marvel star has excelled on the big screen in numerous blockbuster films including Guardians of the Galaxy (1 and 2), Avengers: Infinity War, The Magnificent Seven, Moneyball, The Lego Movie, Jurassic World and its upcoming sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Past recipients of the Generation Award include such notable names as Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, and Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

Congratulations, Chris Pratt! You can catch Chris receiving his award during the MTV Movie and TV Awards show which will air June 18th at 9 PM EST/PST. Tiffany Haddish is set to host so you know it’s going to be a hilarious time!
