‘Cloverfield 3’: Possible Title Leak and New Plot Details

Screenrant reported Monday that they dug up a clue on that may lead us to the title of the newest Cloverfield film.

Until now, the film was only given the name God Particle and an April 20th release schedule. Fans assumed that it would soon get a name change, similarly to how 10 Cloverfield Lane did after its first undercover name.

Screenrant discovered that lighting artist for Moving Picture Company, Ray Xu listed a new credit on his professional profile on LinkedIn. Cloverfield Station.

Although it is not officially confirmed, this is our best bet right now and would make a lot of sense knowing that the theme of the third film will be outer space.

Fans on Reddit have recently uncovered and decoded what they believe is the film’s marketing campaign website under the name TAGRUATO CORP.

Here is what they decoded:

“Tokyo — January 18 2018: Tagruato has begun development on a revolutionary new energy technology in what CEO Garo Yoshida called a technological great leap forward for our planet. This renewable technology will take at least 4 years to complete along with another six years International regulatory bodies to bring the powerful revolutionary energy source by April 18 2028.”

“A team of astronauts aboard an international space station find themselves alone after a scientific experiment involving a particle accelerator makes the Earth vanish. When a space shuttle appears, the space station crew must fight for survival following their horrible discovery.”

Collider talked with The Alienist star Daniel Bruhl recently who is attached to the third Cloverfield film. Here’s what he had to when they asked him if the research for that was complicated.

Yes, it was, and my knowledge is zero. I went to UCLA and I met some very brilliant students and scientists there. It was only 2% of the information that I was given by them that I remotely understood. It’s based on many interesting ideas about a near future scenario, which is an interesting vision of what could happen or what might happen with the Earth. I’m bit scared to talk about it because it’s so extremely secretive. I’m afraid of ending up in a Bad Robot prison.

A near future scenario in space mixed with the world of Cloverfield. I have goosebumps just thinking about it. Bruhl goes on to give a few more hints.

Yeah. I was aware of the movies and wanted to enter that universe that they created. J.J. Abrams is such a mastermind in that genre. It was very attractive to work with all of these wonderful actors. I’ve always wanted to do a space movie, so I couldn’t wait to end up floating in space and solving huge problems.

What do you think of the sound of the upcoming ‘Cloverfield 3’. Do you think Cloverfield Station is the official title?
