‘Birds of Prey’: Talenthouse Contest Reveals More About Plot

Birds of Prey is one of those movies we really can’t wait to see. As February 2020 is coming closer, our anticipation is getting bigger! First, when the first full trailer came out in October, a lot of people had some mixed feelings as it didn’t show anything about the plot just yet.

Talenthouse Art Works opened a contest where they let creative fans design new artwork for marketing campaigns. Artwork that needs to be based on the latest imagery of Birds of Prey. With the wide description of things they would like to see, they also gave a brief summary of the movie.

Read the synopsis below:

“You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.”

If you look a little deeper into the synopsis you see a few things. First, the synopsis confirmed the rumored storyline of Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco). Second, it seems that the story will be in Harley’s (Margot Robbie) point of view. We’re thinking more in the style of the Deadpool movies!

What do you think of the confirmed plot so far? Any thoughts on the movie in general? Let us know in the comments below.

Birds of Prey is directed by Cathy Yan and stars Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Huntress), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Black Canary), and Rosie Perez (Renee Montoya), Ewan MacGregor(Black Mask)Chris Messina (Victor Zsasz), and Ella Jay Basco (Cassandra Cain).

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will hit the theaters on February 7, 2020.
