Cybernpunk 2077 Is Finally Almost Here
Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that a lot of people have been waiting a long time for. It was actually announced all the way back in 2012 but the first time I remember hearing about it was at E3 2018. That was when the hype really started taking hold of people. This was CD Projekt Red, after all, the people behind The Witcher. Since then the game has undergone delays, a pandemic, and controversy. After all of that, however, the game finally went Gold not too long ago. The wonderful folks developing Cyberpunk 2077 are undoubtedly still at work, trying to iron out any last-minute bugs before the big launch on November 19th, 2020. I’ve been doing my best to more or less ignore the game because I was worried it would get delayed again. Now that it’s almost in my hands I’m more excited than ever.

The folks working on this game have put a ton of work into making this game as incredible it can be. Even just recently they released a video detailing a lot of information about the vehicles in the game and even confirmed races. There’s something about the game that’s just drawing me in, despite, in all honesty, knowing very little about it. All the footage from the trailers speaks to an incredibly well-crafted video game. The graphics alone are some of the best we’ve seen from this generation of video games. There have been hints at a level of customizability that is practically unheard of. I mean, how many other games let you customize your genitals? All the performances have been exceptional and having Keanu Reeves in a video game is a dream come true. They best not kill his dog though.

It’s not just the obvious stuff, it’s the stuff we don’t usually hear about from behind the scenes. The work that these guys went to while making this game speaks to a passion not every developer can boast about. If you’re curious about that bit yourself, I suggest checking out Night City Wire: Episode 4 above. That’s the same footage I mentioned earlier where we learned all about the vehicles and races. It’s not just those though. The video also features a segment where they discuss the lengths they went to in order to make the cars sound as good as they can. Hearing them proudly talk about the vehicles while amazing footage of V on a motorcycle swerves through the beautiful Night City is incredible.

Also, a lot has been made of the male version of V, the main character in Cyberpunk 2077, but have any of you guys heard about who is reportedly voicing the female version of V? It’s none other than Cherami Leigh, the same incredible actress who brought Asuna to life for the English dub of Sword Art Online.

I guess the point I’m making is that I’m excited for Cyberpunk 2077. I want to get my hands on it and explore Night City. I wanna experience the story and make my choices and shoot people. I want to get the chip and live forever, I want to be a badass Cyberpunk outlaw. I’m excited for Cyberpunk 2077, it’s almost here and I know a bunch of you are excited too. Thanks for tuning in, I just had to let a little bit of that hype out.

I’d absolutely love to hear all about what you guys are most looking forward to. Also, I recommend you check out the awesome collector’s edition! I wasn’t able to pre-order one in time, but at least it’s nice to look at and think about!
