Looks like Dove Cameron is going from a young villain to a young hero. The Descendants star just announced on Instagram that she will be joining the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D for the upcoming fifth season. She was joined in her announcement by Agents familiar face Clark Gregg, who plays Phil Coulson on the show.

Details on Cameron’s role are still under wraps as well as whether or not she will be joining as a series regular or a guest star, but it definitely looks like she will be working closely with Coulson and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. Cameron has a huge fan following thanks to her work on Disney Channel where she starred in Liv and Maddie and The Descendants, the latter of which she played the daughter of notorious Disney villain, Maleficent.
What do you think of the casting? The fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will premiere this Friday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
