While the plot for the sequel is being kept well under wraps we do know that all of the original cast including Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and their teenage counterparts will be reprising their roles. Nick Jonas will also be back for the sequel. Danny DeVito and Crazy Rich Asians’ Awkwafina are also joining the cast. Jake Kasdan will also be returning as director and will co-write the script with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.
2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, updated the Robin Williams classic by having the plot take place inside the game rather than in the real world and it quickly became Sony’s second-biggest box officer earner with $943 million.
What do you think of the first photo from the movie? See any Easter Eggs? The untitled sequel is set to hit theaters this December!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
