Emilia Clarke’s Latest ‘Game of Thrones’ Comment Has Us Worried
We may be a ways off from the new season of Game of Thrones, but we are already feeling a knot the size of Westeros growing in the pit of our stomachs. Emilia Clarke, who plays the powerful Daenerys Targaryen on the series, recently sat with Vanity Fair to talk about all things Solo: A Star Wars Story and the next phase of her career, but there was one comment about the final season of Game of Thrones that caught our eye.
While talking about filming Daenerys’s final scene, Clarke shared some probably un-HBO-approved intel:
“It f–ked me up. Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is…”
She didn’t elaborate on the comment, but the ominous statement is sure to send shockwaves and multiple theories throughout the fandom. What do you think she means by the comment?
Game of Thrones will return for season 8 in 2019.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
