Emily Kinney joins the cast of ‘Anhedonia’
There is good news for Emily Kinney fans!
Kinney has been cast in a new indie film called Anhedonia. She will star as Jess alongside Breckin Meyer (Roadtrip) as Casey and Giselle Eisenberg (Life in Pieces) as Jules.
Anhedonia is a dark comedy. After a failed suicide attempt, Casey receives a substantial inheritance from a long lost relative and meets a struggling single mom, Jess with an eccentric young daughter. Together they embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Past struggles make him question whether money and love make life worth living. The film was written by Eric Swinderman and Carmen DeFranco. Swinderman will also direct the film.
The film’s official Twitter account made the casting announcement on Friday.

“While the film deals with such dark subjects as suicide, mental illness, and gun violence,” says Swinderman, “there are funny and romantic moments that keep the story light enough to appeal to all audiences.”
Filming begins in early May in Cleveland, Ohio, so it’s too soon to talk about a release date.
