News for Fans, By Fans!

Happy Birthday, Andrew Lincoln!

Happy birthday to our favorite zombie apocalypse survivor leader, Rick Grimes himself, Andrew Lincoln! He turns 45 today.

Lincoln is best known for his role on The Walking Dead but it was his breakout role in the 2003 romantic comedy Love Actually which first earned him international recognization. Lincoln’s unforgettable cue card Christmas carol scene won the hearts of fans everywhere.

In addition to being a fan favorite in film and on The Walking Dead, Lincoln is also a frequent guest at the Atlanta and London Walker Stalker Convention events. In order to celebrate him today, we’d like to share with you our complete panel from Andrew’s most recent Walker Stalker appearance in Atlanta. You can check out the video below.

This year, of course, is a big year for Lincoln as well as for Walking Dead fans. Back in July, it was confirmed that the upcoming ninth season of the series would be his last. Though Lincoln will be exiting the fan-favorite series, his comments from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con are still giving fans hope that we haven’t seen the last of Rick Grimes. During The Walking Dead SDCC panel, Lincoln said:

[row]“This will be my last season playing the part of Rick Grimes. I love this show. It means everything to me. I love the people who make this show. I’m particularly fond of the people who watch this show.” He then added, “My relationship with Rick Grimes is far from over.”[/row]

While there hasn’t been any further explanation as to what exactly Lincoln means by that last statement, fans will find out all the answers when The Walking Dead returns with new episodes starting on October 7th.

Andy, we wish you the happiest of happy days today and hope that each and every one of your birthday wishes come true! Enjoy! Please join us in wishing Andy all the best today by leaving your own birthday wishes for him in the comment section below!
