Here are a few of the ‘Must See’ Moments from Katy Perry’s Live Stream

Katy Perry recently did a 96-hour live stream in anticipation of her new album, ‘Witness’ and it was an extremely personal look into a few days in the life of the musician. From opening up about her struggles with depression to talking about the infamous Taylor Swift feud, and even talking about her exes, no topic was off limits for Katy.

We didn’t get to listen to the live stream in full over the weekend, but we did catch a big part of it. During the last few days, we caught up with some of what we’d missed and did so with an open mind. Anytime an artist does something so personal, motives behind it are questioned, but we genuinely think Katy was showing fans what she’d been talking about in interviews. There’s a lot more to her than the ‘pop-star’ we’ve grown accustomed to over the last few years.

One of the most moving moments was Katy’s therapy session. She says that she’s very strong as Katy Perry but sometimes Kathryn Hudson isn’t as strong. The therapist reminds her that Kathryn doesn’t have to be.

She says that she wants so badly to be Kathryn Hudson that she doesn’t even want to look like Katy Perry sometimes, which was the big reason behind her hair transformation. Her honesty in those moments is something a lot of people can relate to. When you want a big change in your life, your hair is one of the things you most often start with as far as physical alterations go.

She also says that she feels that she falls short often and that she feels that we’re all experiencing so much these days, that it’s easy to get angry and to have a hard time shifting through those emotions. The entire therapy session is very heartwrenching, on top of being relatable, and her honesty is refreshing.

On the topic of her feud with Taylor, she’s over it – she wants to let it go. There are two distinct teams with very powerful opinions, and she’s sick of it. Rightfully so, it seems to have been going on for years.

I am ready to let it go. I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it’s actually like, I think it’s time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I’m saying? And I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and I think that you know, if we, both her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, ‘Yeah, well we can do this.’ I don’t know. Like maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion.

She says there are a lot of other things the world could be focused on, that the world needs right now, and we agree. While it might seem easier to get drawn into the ‘dramatics’ of it all, it’s much more worth it to focus on the positive, and if seems nonexistent, to then create it.

Another interesting moment came in the form of a fan-voted wake up where Katy met her ‘left shark’ from the Superbowl performance once again.

The live stream was full of other humorous moments as well as serious ones too, and James Corden made an appearance – who doesn’t love him? If you missed the stream you can view videos online or read about it via social media, but remember, you shouldn’t judge Katy’s reason for the livestream by what the viewers say – see for yourselves why you think she gave us all this intimate look into her life.
