Hulu Releases Full Trailer for Stephen King’s Castle Rock!

Castle Rock, home to several creepy Stephen King classics, will now serve as setting for Hulu’s latest horror-filled series due for release July 25th. Already having whet our appetites with several teaser trailers, the first being at New York Comic Con, Hulu has finally given us a bit more in which to sink our teeth. Castle Rock’s full-length trailer is inundated with Easter eggs from King’s ever-expanding universe. Bill Skarsgard, known for his chilling role as Pennywise from It, is now seen locked up inside King’s iconic Shawshank prison where he maintains silence until meeting lawyer Henry Deaver, played by actor André Holland. Skarsgard’s first words literally gave me goosebumps, “Has it begun? Do you hear it now?”

“A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland… Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.” – Source: Den of Geek

From Carrie and Cujo to Needful Things and Insomnia, ‘rabid’ King fans will surely be fixated on their favorite frights and will be excited to see some familiar faces. Aside from Mr. Skarsgard, we have Stephen King movie veterans Melanie Lynskey (Rachel Wheaton in Rose Red), Sissy Spacek (Carrie), and Chosen Jacobs (Mike Hanlon in IT) ready to take on the terror coming to Castle Rock. Are you?

Castle Rock is produced by J.J. Abrams, known for his work on Star Trek, Star Wars, Mission Impossible and Lost, along with the terrifying tale-teller himself, Stephen King. There is no doubt that the collaboration between these two talents will yield for riveting, binge-worthy entertainment. A heads-up to those fortunate enough to attend San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, you will have the opportunity to see the first episode in its entirety prior to Hulu’s release! Please make sure not to spoil it for the rest of us though. 😉
