J.K. Rowling Reveals the Best Thing She Ever Wrote On
During a Twitter discussion about writing habits, The Woman in Cabin 10 author Ruth Ware commented on how she doesn’t carry a notebook on her at all times. Another author responded to the threat saying that she was hit with inspiration during a party and had to write on a napkin, which led to Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling chiming in on the best thing she ever wrote on: An aeroplane sick bag.
The best thing I ever wrote on was an aeroplane sick bag. Came up with the Hogwarts houses on it. https://t.co/Fut4BvS6iM

Sometimes when inspiration hits, you grab whatever’s closest so you don’t lose the idea. And good thing those sick bags are paper-based as it would bear the beginnings of the iconic Hogwarts houses. Makes you wonder if that bag is still lying around somewhere, hopefully unused.
Rowling is currently working on the screenplays for the Fantastic Beasts series, with the second film, The Crimes of Grindelwald, to be released next November.
