‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ Finishes Filming
Greetings, fellow Horror fans! Having recently attended a horror con- Monster Mania, I’ve found myself re-watching a lot of classic horror films. You know, like Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street….Mean Girls (just kidding). At the con I ran into a cosplayer, who was dressed up as The Creeper from an early 2000’s horror movie- Jeepers Creepers.
I’ve never actually seen anyone cosplay that character. Normally if someone is doing a horror film character, it will either be as Pennywise, Freddy, Michael Myers or Jason. So I asked him, just out of curiosity, as to why he chose to portray such a character. He told me it was because he was ecstatic that there was going to be a 3rd Jeepers Creepers, and it made him want to break out his old costume. I found myself thinking, it has been years since that movie was out! There is no way they are remaking it now. After much research, I found out that he was right and in fact… Production has finally closed on the upcoming horror flick.
I mean I really shouldn’t have been so surprised, for those who have been watching the film series… you know that this thing does not die; so naturally another movie would be in the works. Members of the cast and crew of the film verified the films pre-production back in November, and have also re-verified that the film will indeed be making its debut in theaters sometime in the near future.
Jonathan Breck will be reprising his role as The Creeper; thankfully. Jeepers Creepers 3 began shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 20, 2017. Although we are still awaiting on an official plot release and trailer, Writer Stan Shaw recently took to Twitter when a fan asked for plot details about the film- and when the film takes place.
A few months ago, verified horror film source, Bloody Disgusting, released the following teaser poster for the film- gaining much excitement from horror movie fans:
Stay tuned with us for official trailer updates and plot details as they come, but for now, I would predict we can expect this film sometime in late summer or early fall.
