Jeremy Renner on Infinity War and the ‘Awesome’ Upcoming Avengers 4

While MCU fans are still sorting out their emotions after Avengers: Infinity War and preparing for Ant-Man and The Wasp, we’re also curious about what’s next for one of our favorite heroes: Hawkeye.

In interviews before Infinity War, it was announced that Hawkeye would be on a personal journey after Civil War. Noticeably absent from IW, we expect that his journey will be highlighted the next time we see him.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Renner had this to say about Avengers 4.

‘Everybody’s got to bite their tongue. But if you like Infinity War, there’s some stuff to come. What I do know is it’s going to be awesome.’

He also touched on the absence of his hero, Hawkeye, in Avengers: Infinity War. Or, he touched on the reaction from fans once they realized that his character wouldn’t be in the film.

‘It’s a nice feeling, I suppose. I think the Russo brothers got way too many death threats. I’m like, ‘Wow, dude, that’s intense. I’m sorry!’

The fan reaction to Hawkeye’s absence was felt before the film even hit theaters. While fans couldn’t be sure he wasn’t in the film, he was missing from all promo. The thought was confirmed when it was announced that Hawkeye and Ant-Man were ‘grounded’ after the events of Civil War.

If you’re missing Hawkeye, you can see him in Captain America: Civil War on Netflix or see Jeremy Renner take on a new r0le in Tag which hits theaters this weekend.
