‘Joker’ Officially Wraps Filming

Thank you, Todd Phillips, for telling us that Joker wrapped filming! Sources were claiming this weeks ago, but now we finally have the official word of the director himself. Todd Phillips took to Instagram to share the end of production. Take a look below:

“That’s a wrap on production. Thanks to the greatest crew NYC has to offer. It was a fun shoot— but we’re not there yet. #editingroom”

Now, the black and white photo didn’t seem all that special at first, but if you look closer at what’s written on the tiles on the wall, it says ‘No unsupervised patients allowed.‘ It could mean that at the end, when the man becomes the clown prince of crime, he’s going to get locked up in Arkham Asylum. Does this mean he’ll disappear for years and then come back, break out of Arkham to fight his nemesis, Batman?

Nothing is confirmed about the plot yet, only what we know from the synopsis, but there is always a chance that the movie holds a bat-crazy Joker locked in his padded room at Arkham. Just imagine all the possibilities there would be with Joaquin PhoenixJoker ending up in Arkham Asylum. Not only for the film itself but the possibility of a sequel after this movie where Harleen Quinzel tries to cure the man she soon goes crazy for.

Read the official synopsis here:

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.

Joker will hit the theaters on October 4, 2019.
