Sony Pictures announced this week that they are moving forward with a sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner in talks to return for another round.

While there is no date or title yet released for the sequel, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillian are said to be reprising their roles from Welcome to the Jungle.  It is also expected that director Jake Kasdan will return to direct with Matt Tolmach and the Seven Bucks Production team consisting of Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiran Garcia also expected to return to produce.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hit theaters late last year and was a surprising box office hit.  Audiences and fans loved the fun adventure or the film combined with the nostalgic touches and tributes to the original 1995 classic.
