Lucasfilm Celebrates 10th Anniversary of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ with SDCC Panel
In 2008, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated movie was released. I remember seeing it in a theater not long after the release date. Later that year, The Clone Wars animated TV series premiered on Cartoon Network. At this point, I’ve seen every episode of The Clone Wars from all six seasons and even re-watch it once in a while. Yesterday, it was announced that at San Diego Comic-Con, Lucasfilm will be holding a Clone Wars panel featuring Dave Filoni, the supervising director of the series, and other celebrities as well. The panel will be held on Thursday, July 19, at 11:45 AM PT in the in room 6BCF. On Twitter, pictures below, Nerdist’s Amy Ratcliffe announced that she will be moderating the panel.

This panel isn’t the only recognition that the Clone Wars era will be receiving at Comic-Con this year; Lucasfilm also announced that an upcoming novel titled Thrawn: Alliances, will be getting a cover exclusive to those who retrieve the book at San Diego Comic-Con. On that cover (pictured below) is Grand Admiral Thrawn, and none other than Anakin Skywalker as Hayden Christensen himself! Do you think we could end up seeing Hayden Christensen on the big screen as Anakin again? Let me know in the comments below! Even as someone who’s not going to San Diego Comic-Con this year, it is still very satisfying to know that The Clone Wars series/era is being recognized for what it is, as it should be.
