Maisie Williams Quotes Her ‘Game of Thrones’ Character in Her New Tattoo

After sharing a bloody goodbye to the series which she has called home for the past eight seasons, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams decided to honor her time spent on the series with a permanent tribute.

On Tuesday, Williams took to Instagram to show off her fresh new ink when fans noticed one of the two new tattoos definitely has a special meaning. Her post consists of several photos to scroll through. The first shows Williams standing alongside tattoo artist Mr. K. The second photo reveals one of Williams’ new additions, a delicate flower. The third photo is of particular interest to Game of Thrones fans.

On the back of Williams’ neck, written in red ink is a quote inspired by her character Arya Stark. The tattoo simply reads, “No One.”

The quote is, of course, referencing Arya Stark’s character arc during season 5 when she went through training to become Faceless Man. “A girl is no one.

Check out the killer tattoo below.

Williams isn’t the only Game of Thrones cast member to get a tattoo inspired by the series. Her on-screen sister Sophie Turner (who plays Sansa Stark) also got a tattoo recently which many fans felt was a total series ending spoiler! Luckily, Turner cleared the air and reassured restless fans that no spoilers were spilled in the ink of her tattoo.

The final season of Game of Thrones is one of the most highly-anticipated television series events ever as fans anxiously await the epic conclusion of the battle for the Iron Throne.

In addition to the eighth and final season, HBO recently announced that one of the potential Game of Thrones spinoff series received a pilot order from the network giving fans comfort that, though the original series might be coming to an end, there is still more story to be told once the final chapter of the HBO series airs.

The final season of the Game of Thrones series is expected to air sometime in the first half of 2019. No formal premiere date has yet been announced.
