Mark Hamill, ‘Star Wars’ Icon Honored with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Rebellion has gathered in Hollywood, California to honor Mark Hamill, a.k.a. Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, with the 2630th star on the iconic Walk of Fame. Ceremony and star placement will take place at 6834 Hollywood Blvd. in front of the El Capitan Theatre on March 8, 2018, at 11:30 am PST.
Guest speakers scheduled to appear: Harrison Ford and George Lucas.
Star Wars: A New Hope was Hamill’s first feature film after having appeared in several television movies and series including a role on the daytime soap General Hospital. To date, he has appeared as Luke Skywalker in five of the franchise films.
Hamill has appeared in countless film and television roles as well as on Broadway. He is an accomplished voice actor who is best known for his role as the Joker in the animated Batman franchise.
With the digital and Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on March 27th, Hamill receiving his star couldn’t have come at a better time.
