Season three will once again follow Detective Harry Ambrose (Pullman) “as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York. Ambrose uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.” Bomer will be playing a character named Jamie, “an upstanding Dorchester resident and expectant father who looks to Ambrose for support in the wake of the accident.”

Jessica Biel will once again executive produce with Michelle Purple under their Iron Ocean banner with Charlie Gogolak and Derek Simonds who will once again serve as showrunner. Breaking Bad’s Adam Bernstein will serve as EP as well and will direct the first two episodes.

USA/The Sinner Season 1

The Sinner has remained a success on USA since Jessia Biel starred in 2017’s first season. She earned an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for her role as a distraught young mother involved in a puzzling murder . Season 2 followed Ambrose as he investigated a case in which a young boy with no obvious motives murdered both of his parents. It also starred Carrie Coon.

Matt Bomer starred on USA’s popular series White Collar for six seasons from 2009-2014. It followed Bomer as a white-collar criminal who agrees to help the FBI catch other white collar criminals using his expertise as a counterfeiter and conman. Since then he has starred in American Horror Story, Amazon’s Tycoon, Magic Mike, and Will & Grace’s recent revival. Coming up, he will be starring in DC’s live-action Doom Patrol series.
