‘Mayans MC’ Shares Two New Behind the Scenes Photos

Mayans MC is doing everything they can to get us excited for the upcoming spinoff and the latest behind the scenes photos shared on Twitter are doing just the trick. The series, which takes place 2+ years after the closing moments of Sons of Anarchy, follows the workings of the Mayans MC Santo Padre Charter under the reign of President Obispo “Bishop” Losa.

“Get comfortable. Mayans M.C. takes over this fall on FX,” the first caption says, which features a photo of Michael Irby as Bishop sipping a drink in an office chair. As a war veteran, Bishop will be bringing a new kind of edge to the role as he tries to learn from his cousin Marcus Alvarez, (Sons of Anarchy’s Emilio Rivera). Check out the photo below!

Mayans MC will center around a new prospect for the club, EZ Reyes, who will be played by JD Pardo. Having had the perfect future in the palm of his hand before college, something went awry and EZ was sent to Stockton State Prison instead. Now he’s out and joining his brother, Angel Reyes (Clayton Cardenas) in the MC. In a recent teaser for the show, Angel is seen making sure that EZ is truly committed to everything the MC life entails. “I can’t ask you to do this unless I know you really want it. The club, the life, all of it. All in.” The tweet reads “Fall in line. Ride with Mayans M.C. this fall on FX” and features Cardenas on his bike.

Created by Kurt Sutter, Mayans MC will still feature the familiar feel and drama that Sons of Anarchy fans fell in love with. Sutter has promised to plant some Sons Easter eggs throughout the series and its been confirmed that some Sons alums will appear on the new series in flashbacks. Sutter has also revealed that he would like to see where Jax Teller’s sons Abel and Thomas are at some point down the line.
