‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ Release Moved to 2018

Maze Runner: The Death Cure Release Moved to 2018

Variety reports that the release date of the final chapter in the Maze Runner series has been pushed back by nearly a year to January 12, 2018. This follows lead actor Dylan O’Brien’s injury during filming in March and the shut down of the production in April. These changes are due to Fox allowing time for O’Brien to recover from his injuries after being struck by a car. There is no indication of when production will resume, but O’Brien is reportedly on the mend.

Though unfortunate for fans of the series who will now have to wait even longer for the final film, I am glad that the studio made the decision to not replace O’Brien. He is an incredibly talented actor and an asset to the franchise.

We wish you all the best, Dylan!
