Mike Colter Would Have Barack Obama Cameo on ‘Luke Cage’

Since the 44th President of the United States left office, we haven’t seen him all that much on television. We especially haven’t seen him make an appearance on a fictional television series.

Luke Cage‘s Mike Colter revealed that if Barack Obama were to make a cameo on his series, he’d have his support.

With the news that Obama signed with Netflix last week, Mike Colter was asked about his thoughts on the deal and if there’s a chance Obama could step over to Cage.

Colter immediately seemed open to the idea saying, “I think he could cameo in anything he wants to. He has an open door for anywhere he wants to go, I think.”

He even took it a step further while he imagined the possibilities, adding, “We shoot in Harlem, and we got a lot of good places to eat. He can come and do a cameo and we can have a bite to eat.”

On whether Obama would play a hero, a villain or a supporting role, Colter has some creative ideas.

“I don’t know man, he might have to change it up. He’s been a hero a long time, maybe he can be a villain this time.”

He ended the conversation saying that the final decision would have to be up to Cheo Hodari Coker, the showrunner of Luke Cage.
“I leave that up to Cheo. We got a lot of guys out there who are great but Cheo makes the choices,” Colter said. “I’m just happy these guys love the show enough to come out and give us their talent.”
