New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer Gives Marvel the Top 3 Spots for Most Views in First 24 Hours

If there’s one thing that Marvel likes to do it’s break records. Well, there’s one thing they like to do even better…break their own records. So, when they suddenly dropped a new trailer for Avengers: Endgame last week, it was just a matter of time before numbers were shattered. The trailer, which featured footage from previous Avenger standalone movies and some questionable scenes managed to earn 268 million views in the first 24 hours of its release.

As impressive as that number was though, it wasn’t quite enough to take the number one spot for most views in 24 hours. That honor goes to none other than Avengers: Endgame. Oh, wait, I guess it technically still is the champion. The follow-up trailer still trails December’s first Endgame trailer, which saw 289 million views within its first day. So, either way, it’s still a massive win for Marvel. This now moves Infinity War’s trailer down to third place with an impressive 238 million views. Disney’s Lion Kingwhich earned 224.6 million view within the first 24 hours, now moves to fourth place and New Line’s It rounds out the top 5 with 197 million views.

Avengers: Endgame is set to pick up after the devastating events of Infinity War, which found Thanos completing his Infinity Gauntlet and snapping his fingers to rid of half of humanity, which included fan-favorite heroes such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Bucky Barnes. With the original Avengers still on Earth and Tony Stark maybe still up in space (?) they’ll have to work together to come up with a plan to defeat Thanos once and for all. Thankfully, the trailers have revealed that Scott Lang/Ant-Man does, in fact, make it out of the Quantum Realm and it featured an awesome look at Captain Marvel’s triumphant appearance. Check out the new trailer below!

Once again directed by the Russo Brothers, Endgame will definitely star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner. While the fate of the “dead” heroes is still up in the air, they’re all also credited to appear on IMDB.

Avengers: Endgame releases on April 26, 2019.
