Check Out The New ‘Lion King’ Trailer
A brand-new trailer for Jon Favreau’s The Lion King has been released and you can check it out below, it is absolutely wonderful!
After Favreau’s The Jungle Book, I think fans expected a visually stunning adaptation of The Lion King, but I don’t think many expected this level of detail. Just from the trailer we got a great look at some of the best animal CGI I have ever seen- although I will admit that it was strange seeing Scar as a proper lion instead of having his brown and black mane in the animated film.
The trailer also gave us our first look at many of our favourite characters like Timon, Pumbaa, the Hyenas, and Scar. I am incredibly excited to see this on the big screen. While I was nervous about certain casting choices this trailer has definitely changed my mind.
The cast is amazing! Joining James Earl Jones as Mufasa is Chiwetel Ejiofor as his brother Scar, Donald Glover as Simba (with JD McCrary as Simba as a cub), Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa, and Beyoncé as Simba’s childhood friend and eventual lover, Nala.
Woah!
The Lion King will arrive in cinema in July 2019. The 100 day countdown starts now!
