’Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski is Opening a Restaurant in New York

Queer Eye fans in New York, make way for a new restaurant! Our own Antoni Porowski is taking over the diner The Village Den, which is in the West Village. Guess what? It’ll already open NEXT MONTH!

’Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski is Opening a Restaurant in New York

He’s giving the whole menu a makeover, and he’s making sure everyone is getting healthy but still good tasting food. Although, he’s not sure that he wants to put avocados on the menu, as the internet generated a lot of memes because of his use of avocados in the first season.

“That scarred me a little. The first draft of the menu didn’t have a single avocado anywhere.” – Antoni Porowski to the NY Times

Food wise he’s doing what he does best, and he’s giving comfort food options with a ‘nutritious spin.’ One of the examples he gave was cabbage rolls stuffed with turkey and cauliflower rice. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting hungry!

He had a specific target group in mind, and he thought he would target the people like him. People in their thirties who like to stay healthy and like to workout.

“It was never a dream of mine to open a restaurant. I know how much work goes into it. I get to hyper-focus on one simple thing, which is food.” – Antoni Porowski

This news makes me wish I lived anywhere near the US so that I could travel down to New York for a pleasant sightseeing day, ending with a lovely dinner.

Queer Eye started production for its third season in July and is to return on Netflix in 2019. No release date has been announced yet.
