Rihanna, Anne Hathaway Join all Female ‘Oceans 11’ Reboot
It seems some other franchises are taking a page from the Ghostbusters reboot 101 book. Oceans 8 the soon to be reboot of Oceans 11 just cast two more lovely ladies-Rihanna and Anne Hathaway.
They join the ranks of Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling.
The Warner Brothers film will star Bullock’s character taking the same journey as George Klooney does in the original film, complete with a group of thieves and a heist.
Director Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) told slashfilm, “It’s a pretty similar tone. You know, Steven Soderbergh and I are incredibly close friends, and we would not have done this if we weren’t. I don’t think he would’ve wanted anyone to do it if we weren’t. This is very much an extension and a continuation.”
I just hope Rihanna is playing one of those thieves because we all know she’s the most bad of them all. Bad in the bed way possible, of course.
Ross will direct alongside Soderbergh when filming begins in October in New York.
