Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Production Company Makes 3-Year Fox Deal; Signs on for ‘Clue’ Movie

Ryan Reynolds already has his sights set on his next project.  The Deadpool star and his Maximum Effort production company have just signed a 3-year first-look deal with Twentieth Century Fox Film with their first film set to be Clue.

Deadline reports the upcoming project will be a live-action film based on the popular murder mystery board game, however, it is not said to be a reboot of the 1985 classic which starred Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd and among others.  Maximum Effort will produce along with Allspark Pictures which is a division of Hasbro.

In addition to producing, Reynolds has also reportedly signed on to star in the film.  There’s no word yet on what role he will be playing.  Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are in talks to join the film.  If they do officially sign on, the unstoppable Deadpool team would be reunited once more.

Up next, Reynolds will be reprising his Deadpool role on May 18th.  He has also officially signed on for the lead role in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie which is expected to hit theaters at some point in 2019.
