Scott Wilson, Actor and ‘Walking Dead’ Star, Passes Away
Scott Wilson has passed away at age 76.
The news of Scott Wilson’s passing comes the same evening of the massive panel at New York Comic Con in which it was announced he would be appearing on season 9 of The Walking Dead, along with other past cast members, Jon Bernthal and Sonequa-Martin Green.
Wilson held a successful acting career since 1967 (In the Heat of the Night). He has over 50 film credits and was known well for his role in The Ninth Configuration (1980). Wilson jumped into our hearts again while playing the role of Hershel Green from season 2 to season 4 of AMC’s hit series, The Walking Dead. His character was beloved, and Wilson was, too.
Walker Stalker Convention shared a statement Saturday night with a video that shows just one of the special interactions he had with various fans over the years. Anyone who came into contact with him would walk away feeling seen, heard, special and smiling.
Most recently, Wilson played roles in Hostiles, The OA, Damien, and Bosch.
He was scheduled to appear at Walker Stalker Convention Atlanta at the end of the month.
