Second ‘Space Jam’ Will Star LeBron James

The 1996 film starring Michael Jordan and several Looney Tunes characters is officially getting a follow up! Space
Jam
is a beloved 90s classic so fans are sure to be excited for this one.

James and his production company signed a deal with Warner Bros. last summer which set off some speculation that this film may be happening. It is only fitting for James to star in the film, as he has often been compared to Jordan throughout his NBA
career.

This will not be James’ first time acting. He appeared alongside Bill Hader and Amy Schemer

in Trainwreck last summer, and got rave reviews for his funny performance.

The Space Jam sequel will be written and most likely directed by by Justin Lin, Andrew Dodge, and Alfedo Botello. Lin directed four of the Fast & Furious films and Star Trek Beyond.

Dodge is currently writing a television drama for HBO which Lin and Jeremy Renner are producing.

There is no official word that the Looney Tunes will return, but I sure hope so! The first Space Jam earned $230.4 million at the box office in 1996.

Are you excited for Space Jam 2?

  1. I
personally dont think there should be a
Space Jam 2 without Jordan. And

definitely no sequel if there will be no Looney Tunes. The first one would
    have
    been terrible if not for
    the Tunes.
