‘Star Wars’ Fans Leave Coca-Cola bottles at Lucas Film Yoda Fountain to Honor Carrie Fisher

It has been 40 years since we first viewed the Star Wars universe and along with that, fell in love with the beautiful and daring Princess Leia. Ever since her debut, fans admired her strength and performance not only in the character, but in Carrie Fisher herself.

This past week marked the year anniversary of her sudden passing, and social media was flooded with tributes to the princess of the galaxy.

A couple fans went above and beyond in their tribute to Carrie Fisher, leaving a note and two bottles of Coca-Cola at Lucasfilm’s Yoda Fountain in San Francisco, California.

Lucasfilm publicist, Chris Argyropoulos shared the image of the tribute on Twitter with the caption: “Stopped by the office this morning and someone left a nice little tribute to Carrie @ the Yoda fountain.”

During an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show last year, Carrie Fisher requested Coca-Cola in her mug, as opposed to most guests’ choices of coffee. Surprising fact, Fisher admitted to drinking 16 or so Coca-Cola drinks every day!

“But I don’t drink all of them. I start them, but then it starts to get warm. And then you have to get another one … They have to have that sharp, sharp cold taste,”

Perhaps her original love for the beverage came from her father, who was a representative for the beverage in the 1950’s!
