Stargirl: Season 2 Confirmed For Summer

Back when DC Universe, DC’s streaming app, shut down the fate of many shows was left up in the air. Stargirl is one of many shows that fans were unsure would return, with the service’s change. Stargirl was unique in the DC universe of television shows. Where many of the DC shows are dark, this one brought some fun to the DC Universe.

Stargirl was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise rather gloomy universe, and it would have been a shame to see it end. Luckily, that would end up not being the case. It was confirmed that Stargirl would be moving over to the CW. We already knew a second season was coming, but a promo during the Superman And Lois premiere told us season 2 is confirmed for the summer!

That’s not an official date but it’s more than we knew before, and I’m glad Stargirl season 2 is confirmed for the summer. You can check out the teaser below, for yourself!

This is just one of many things we’ve learned about the returning show. We know that John Wesley Shipp will be reprising his role as Jay Garrick for Stargirl, though the capacity is still unknown. This could lead to confirming Stargirl‘s existence into the Arrowverse or perhaps having it officially join. Jim Gaffigan is also confirmed to join as Thunderbolt. We’ll also have Nick Tarabay as Eclipso and Jonathan Cake as The Shade.

At the very least, seeing some new promotional material for the show should be a relief to fans. Stargirl was one of the well-reviewed shows over on DC Universe, and the showrunners have assured us to not worry. They’ve promised the move to the CW wouldn’t affect the show.

How do you feel about the fact that Stargirl season 2 is confirmed for the summer? I can’t wait, myself.
